New Hanover County Register of Deeds continue to operate under normal hours with some temporary changes to keep the citizens and staff safe. PLease review the changes;
March 30, 2020 UPDATE
The Attorneys recording hours will be from 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, only at the 320 Chestnut St. location.
Assumed Name Forms will only be received by mail. The forms can be downloaded from BLNC – Business Link of North Carolina website at http://blnc.gov, then click the Business Forms link. After completing the form, you will then mail your document with a check or money made out to New Hanover County Register of Deeds for $26.00, along with a self-addressed envelope for returning the document back to you.
All Birth, Death and Marriage certificates are only done by mail.
