New Hanover County Register of Deeds continue to operate under normal hours with some temporary changes to keep the citizens and staff safe. Please review the changes:

The attorney’s recording hours will be from 8am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday, only at the 320 Chestnut St. location.
Assumed Name Forms can now be done by walk in, online and mailed in. The forms can be downloaded from BLNC – Business Link of North Carolina website at http://blnc.gov, then click the Business Forms link. After completing the form, you will then mail your document with a check or money order made out to New Hanover County Register of Deeds for $26.00, along with a self-addressed envelope for returning the document back to you.
All Birth, Death and Marriage certificates are now available bywalk in, mail and online at our downtown location only.
